A high-fidelity, browser-based simulator of the ISO 14229 Unified Diagnostic Services protocol.
UDS Simulator gives automotive engineers, embedded developers, students, and educators a zero-install interactive playground for studying, testing, and mastering vehicle diagnostics. Everything runs client-side in the browser: there is no hardware to buy, no dongle to activate, and no license server to reach.
A full implementation of 19 core ISO 14229 services, including session control (0x10), security access (0x27), routine control (0x31), the flash and download sequence (0x34 through 0x37), and memory reads and writes (0x23 and 0x3D). Requests and responses are byte-exact, and negative response codes follow the standard rather than being approximated.
An interactive console for sending and inspecting diagnostic frames, a virtual instrument cluster that maps speed, RPM, warning indicators, and fault status to simulated ECU state, DTC fault injection with status masks and freeze-frame capture, and a learning hub of lessons and diagnostic scenarios.
Learning UDS has historically required access to expensive, node-locked tooling and physical ECUs. That gate keeps the protocol opaque to most of the people who need to understand it. This project exists to remove the gate.
